Destill

We had to surf the web and find an artist portfolio that inspires us and with destill.net, I found mine. I love the majority of his work and my favorite piece is Splendor. He has been an artist I have watched for awhile not and I enjoy the style of art he creates.

The main thing I love about his site is the simplicity. It may all be on one page, but its serves its purpose of being a portfolio website very well. Its main purpose is to showcase the art. He does a very good job of that by making the art the first thing your eyes see when you enter the website. The color of the whole site is mainly white. When his colorful art works are being displayed in the main view, they contrast with the overall white of the page helping the art works pop out.

Once you get familiar with the site, the layout is very nice and calm. I like the layout with his site name at the top and his contact info. Then comes the artworks which take up a good portion of the page, and then links to his friends portfolios.

The only main critique I have is for people that view this site for the first time. It is kinda hard to figure out how to view his other artworks. I think he should make the links to the other images a little more noticeable so people will know how to see more of his works.
